Major Tadd Lahnert is a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated with a BS in Management from the United States Air Force Academy in 2008, and immediately cross-commissioned into the U.S. Army as an Infantry officer.

Tadd served with 3-187 IN, 3rd BDE, 101st ABN (AASLT) as a platoon leader and battalion supply officer from 2009-2011, including one deployment to Afghanistan. From 2012-2014 he was assigned to 1-24 IN, 1st SBCT, 25th ID at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, and served as an assistant S-3 and rifle company commander. His last assignment was with 2/75 Ranger Regiment, at JBLM, WA, where he served as a battalion training officer and rifle company commander.

Major Lahnert is a graduate of IOBC, MCCC, CGSOC, Ranger, Airborne, Air Assault, and various other military schools. He is a Senior rated parachutist and a 2017 recipient of the McArthur Leadership Award.

Tadd is married to Sarah, a physicians assistant from Bethpage, Tennessee. They have one child, Finn (2) and a little girl on the way.
